Breaking stigmas, creating confidence and brightening futures one image at a time...

Race...

Income...

Lifestyle...

Age...

Abilities...

Dwelling Status & More...

We are each unique individuals but the same all in one. Born and created equal.

So let's stop all the nonsense... And let's squash the stigmas...

“A photographer’s job is to create and make the image look like a safe holding space for kids where they are safe and protected. Kids get it on a really simple level.”

“I am very conservative about self-esteem and I think placing a family photo someplace in the home where the child can see it every day without having to turn on a device or click around on a computer to find it really hits home for that child this sense of reassurance and comfort. They have a certainty about them and a protecting quality that nurtures a child. It let’s them know where they are in the pecking order and that they are loved and cared for,”

having photographs of that child with their family placed in the child’s bedroom so it can be among the last things they see before sleep and the first thing they may see before beginning their day.

“It says we love you and care about you. You’re important.

I’m going to help, and you can help too….

Have you ever felt like you didn't belong, maybe you felt stuck, maybe like you would never get ahead, or that you didn't matter??? Maybe you've felt like where you are is where you will always be and that place isn't safe? Or maybe as a child you felt like you didn't matter and you will never be able to even begin to reach for your dreams???

Have you ever felt like your environment, or what you personally have to deal with, your looks or status define who you are to those around you and the rest of the world???

If so, then you know how so many children feel on a daily basis...

Then you know how so many individuals that live with what "we" have labled as an illness / handicap feel... Daily...

Then you know what so many families are forced to live with.... Daily... Some of those families, ones that make your dinners possible, such as the farmers... One day after the next.

And this is where we can start to make a difference, if even just in one childs future or one families day....

This is where we can work to give everyone the safe possibilities as everyone else, to prove that we are all equals. That you are just like me and everyone else just like you.

Children And Their Futures…

The children, each and every one of them in this world and their futures, are, in turn, OUR futures.

NO matter where they are, the life struggles they are faced with, they ARE our future.

My hopes thru this project is to bring their hopes, their dreams and their confidence to the forefront. Using portraits and conversations to brighten their horizons. To help each child possible to realize that they matter just as much as every other child in the world. That their dreams matter and their chocies matter and their hopes..... MATTER.. To make sure that they know and understand that where they may live right now doesn't mean that they are stuck there. That their living situations don't dictate their futures and that they can chase and obtain their dreams. And that they are loved by every single one of us. No matter their race, their situation or their abilities... This won't be possible with out everyones help. To read more about this project click here. To donate to making this project possible, click below. A beginning list of fund usage can be found ::here::

Whether you decide to help brighten these futures or not is up to you, but either way, it means the world that you've vistited this site and please come back to see the updates and the portraits and stories unfold....

Families And Their Love

There are so many deserving families in this country as well as around the world that are left to struggle thru each day on their own. The struggle to find their next meal, new clothes, a roof to call home.

There are the farming families, the service families, the families that struggle through illness, the families that are living in some of the lowest income parts of our countries.

So many of these families are hit with a stigma that they deserve what they have or where they are. And the ones that maybe don't face the stigma, they're just fighting to make the most of what they have which generally isn't enough.

These families I long to meet, to talk to, to document and photograph. And in turn, give the best I can of a family portrait for their walls and to gift them with something they can be proud of and to remind them that no matter what they're struggling with, they have each other. Always...

By donating to this project, you're helping each one of these families. Giving them pride, hope and a sense of belonging.

After all, no matter who you are, they matter just as much.....

The Forgotten And Alone

Do you realize how many people and cities in the U.S. alone are forgotten about, put to the backburner, or pushed out of society because they don't "fit" the mold that certain individuals want them to???

Do you realize how many towns are literally falling into ruins because the government wants to spend money making the higher class towns look fancier instead of helping the towns that truly need it. Or even the parts of cities that are forced to just about run themselves because the officials have turned their backs on them???

Do you realize how many service families struggle in this country because they have stood up and fought for what they believed in. Protected us, and now they're battleing to make ends meet because of illness or physical injuries they suffered. FOR US!

Do you know how many homeless families there are out there? Maybe they're living in motels so they have a roof, or shelters so they have food. But they are there. And it's scary. And it's unfair. And it's so incredibly sad....

Do you know how many homeless are living on the streets because society won't give them the time of day? (Yes, I know some live there by choice, or have put themselves there, but this is not the case for all)

Do you know how many Indian Reservations are left to live in the small parcels of land they were left with, struggling to make even the smallest of ends meet. Living in isolated poverty.

A part of this project will go toward documenting those areas and individuals and helping in any way I can as well... A beginning list of fund usage can be found ::here::
